My sister introduced me this thattu vadai set as after her marriage she was staying in Salem for 8 years. My brother in law , is now in salem on an official transfer. My sister was insisting me to post this thattu vadai recipe here for a long time. I am bit lazy to make thattai and post this recipe. Last week when my mom came here she sent a packet of Salem thattai and finally i made it at home. I loved it very much and my kids too loved this. Instead of giving them the thattai for snack, for a change we can give this one as it has carrot and beetroot. If you have the chutneys and thattai ready you can make this snack quickly. THAYIR SEMIYA RECIPE | MILLET CURD SEMIYA
Thayir semiya my amma makes with idiyappam. I wanted to make this with semiya then tried with millet semiya. As the summer season is peaking up i thought this will be perfect for the season. A simple accompaniment of mor milagaai, maanga thokku, maanga inji, cut mango pickle will be a perfect with this thayir semiya.

Cauliflower masala dosai I first taste some 20 years back when i was in school. My friend's sister got engaged and she took both of us to a famous restaurant in Madurai . In the menu board which was written outside as "Today's special", it was mentioned Cauliflower masala dosai. Though we always make masala dosa with potato, we tried this cauliflower masala dosa . It tasted very nice. In the past few years i tried this masala dosa few times at home but somehow couldn't click the pictures. Finally made this last week and clicked the pictures. Due to some technical problems, i have given my laptop for servicing. Finally got it back yesterday . Will be resuming to routine from today. Thank you so much for your support.

CARROT CAPSICUM RAITA | RAITA RECIPES
Capsicum when added in most of the food will give aromatic and flavourful. We generally add capsicum|bell pepper in sambar, fried rice, paratha and some times in raita too. This south indian style of carrot capsicum thayir pachadi will be a perfect combo vatha kuzhambu or sambar rice too. CHOCOLATE CHEESE SANDWICH | GRILLED CHOCOLATE SANDWICH
Grilled chocolate cheese sandwich , the combo of cheese and chocolate will be very nice. I have read about this combo a long back but never tried at home. As kids have holidays, i want to make this for them as i have both the cheese and chocolate at home. Today morning when i told them that chocolate cheese sandwich is your breakfast my little one was quite disappointed. He told me amma please do not try any weird combos and i am sure it won't be nice. I said you please wait and let's see how it turns out. Still he was not convinced and me as a typical mother ignored it and started making this sandwich and quickly clicked too. then i gave him a small bite sized piece for taste. He reluctantly had it out of compulsion but after tasting hugged me and told it was awesome. Varsha too loved it very much. Aloo tamatar sabzi is a super quick and simple recipe made with potato and tomato as main ingredient. I have given this recipe in Aval Vikatan supplement which got published in august 2014. Since it is navratri fasting for many North Indians, i thought it is the right time to post this recipe. I am sure about the exact rules and regulations followed during navratri but as i know onion and garlic will not be included in the food. KAMBU KOOZH | BAJRA MILLET PORRIDGE | INSTANT PEARL MILLET PORRIDGE
Kambu koozh is a perfect summer cooler. During our childhood days though amma makes it sometimes but i never liked it that time. But when i did this kambu koozh for the mangayar malar supplement book in Dec 2014, this millet recipe was one among them. I somehow liked it very much and it's an instant version of this pearl millet porridge. I used the bajra flour instead of whole bajra. Try this for your breakfast and you will be refreshed for the whole day. I made this not too thick but if you want you can make it as thick koozh .
The cute pots suresh got me during his recent trip to Chennai.
