Mor koozh recipe | Mor kali recipe

Mor kali recipe

Mor koozh | Morkali is a authentic , traditional recipe which is one of my favourite from my childhood. Whenever my mom asks me what to make for breakfast, the entire family's voice will be either mor koozh or puli upma or rava upma. How simple it will be for my mom with such non fussy kids !!. Even whenever we go out and watch a movie or come home late after a trip we demand amma to make this for us. Even for my dad who is diabetic she makes the same by replacing rice flour with wheat flour. Try this authentic delicacy this summer and enjoy your breakfast| dinner.

Fruit popsicle recipe | Summer coolers

Fruit popsicle

As Varsha is posting for the past 2 sundays some interesting popsicles , today she is sharing the furit popsicle recipe, which we tried even last year too. We are going for a holiday and i have scheduled some posts till the end of the month. Please bear with any delay in replying your mails or comments. Over to Varsha.....
It is really important to stay hydrated and healthy during summer. I usually find myself opening the
fridge every 2 minutes to look for something cold and nice to drink and since we have holidays now, all that my brother and I eat are chips, cookies and other junk food. Amma keeps insisting that we should eat fruits instead of all that. But do we listen to her? NOO ,So I came up with this popsicle. So the next time you crave for something nice and cold have this popsicle instead. It's healthy and refreshing at the same time. BTW this is the last post of the SUNNY SUNDAY POPSICLE series, as we are going for holiday. But don't worry I'll be back with other posts some time later. BYE BYE.

Dates popsicle recipe | Easy popsicle recipes

Dates popsicle

Sunny Sunday popsicles post by my daughter Varsha. Check out her coconut lemonade popsicle recipe.  Over to Varsha....
Today is my parents wedding anniversary, so I thought I would post a 'perfect date' recipe. Do you guys get the pun? I am not so good with puns or writing introductions. Since the Ramadan Month is starting tomorrow, Amma suggested that I post a dates recipe. Nowadays it rains quite often but you don't need a sunny weather to eat popsicle, right? Well at least I don't think so. Popsicles can be eaten anytime, anywhere. I am the kind of person who eats ice cream when its raining outside.  This is a perfect recipe for people with a sweet tooth. Enough said,  let's move on to the PERFECT DATE RECIPE. Check out the eggless dates cake recipe and dates kheer recipe too.

Mango paratha recipe | Mango recipes

Mango parathas

Mango paratha is a interesting recipe which flashed me, while i was having my lunch with my friends yesterday. We went out for lunch yesterday in Kailash parbat restaurant here, and they have a wide variety of fresh mango recipes in their menu card. Being a hardcore fan of mangoes, i was simple gazing at the list and one of my friend ordered a mango drink from that list. Though it is a juice, they added little crushed cumin seeds in that. I tasted that and was quite impressed by its taste. On our way back picked up of big bag full of mangoes and today morning, with my own creativity, did this simple mango paratha. It turned out pretty good and i had this for my lunch with boondi raitha. Try this out at home and enjoy the summer with mangoes. Stay tuned for more mango recipes coming up on Jeyashri's kitchen.

Whole wheat grain dosa

We always make dosa with godhumai maavu (whole wheat flour) which we call as godhumai dosa or karacha maavu dosai aor wheat dosai. But have you ever tried dosa with Whole wheat grain. Actually my mom makes this  but i have never remembered to ask her the recipe of this whole wheat grain dosa. Generally this whole wheat grain is used for  making godhumai halwa. A reader asked me for a recipe of dosa using whole wheat grain . then it suddenly it flashed that amma makes this and asked her for the recipe. I made it according to her instructions and it turned out very well. The dosas were crispy and yummy and kids too ate without any fuss. Check out my ragi dosa recipe, kal dosai recipe.
