ReplyDeletei am a big fan of ur blog jeyashri....have been trying a few recipes of urs.....sterday tried Badam burfi.....came out welll....today's trial was a total disaster..:( i tried oats murukku ...after making the murukku shapes just as i put them in oil to fry they just melted away into small crumbs!!!!! wat would ahve gone wrong?
ReplyDeleteMam thank you so much for the feedback.
DeleteReg your disaster, either you would have added more butter or little extra pottukdala. Both will make the murukku getting dissolved in oil. Even for all snacks if butter is too much it will melt in oil.
Any solution for it
DeletePlease refer the above reply.

ReplyDeleteHi I HAVE made so many recipes from your blog Jeyashri and my family loved them. I was making oats pottukadalai murukku and i dont know for some reason it started splitting up into crumbs in the hot oil. How can I fix it? Please help. I need to make this for Diwali 2017.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Indhu
Thank you so much Indhu. Regarding your doubt, either the dough is too stiff or too loose, both ways it will break in oil. If it is getting dissolved, either you would have added extra pottukadalai or more butter. Happy diwali to you all.
