Karthigai Deepam | Thiru karthigai , is a tamil festival. which falls on November 23rd 2018,this year. Being a native of Thiruvanamalai, a town in North arcot District of Tamilnadu, in my inlaws house Karthigai Deepam is celebrated in a very grand way. We observe fasting on that day and make pori urndai, appam, vadai, payasam ,adai in the evening and offer to God as neivedhyam. Then we will end our fast after Lighting the lamps.
