ReplyDeleteHi Jeyashri, I have been following all your receipes..Regarding your post about varagu idli, what is the proportion & incase if iam using mixie grinder?
ReplyDeleteIf using mixie add 3 cups of varagu and 1 cup of urad dal, will be fine.
DeleteCan we also make dosa with this batter?
DeleteYes you can make it.
DeleteHi I tried it but it came out hard. Wat to be done better to make soft idlis
ReplyDeleteThere may be many reasons for the hard idlis. Please check my post on how to make idli, (the link is given in the notes section). The consistency of the batter matters, if not in the right consistency it will become hard. also if you keep the batter in the grinder for some time after you finish grinding, the heat will make the idlis hard.
