Easy Coffee banana smoothie recipe

Easy to make coffee banana smoothie recipe with video, using Instant coffee powder, frozen banana and milk as main ingredients. Summer is at it's peak, and many of us prefer to have something light and refreshing breakfast. Also hot drinks are not preferred by many during summer mornings, and we switch to cold coffee. This easy coffee banana smoothie is a combo of banana, coffee and milk makes a filling breakfast and also the addition of coffee in it makes it refreshing for coffee lovers.
We can add some chia seeds in this breakfast smoothie and make it more healthy.
To make it rich and more exotic a scoop of Coffee ice cream  can be topped while serving or blended with the coffee banana smoothie. 
 After trying out 2 interesting desserts using Levista premium Instant coffee powder, i decided to try out this breakfast smoothie using it. It was a super hit at home and the flavor of the coffee in the smoothie is loved by everyone.

Vazhaipoo kootu, Vendakkai fry lunch menu combo 6

Planning lunch menu on a weekend is always a task for most of us. Actually cooking is not a task, what to cook is the task. I have started this Lunch menu combo series upon the request from many friends and readers. And this series is gaining a good response from all of you and that motivates me to do more. Vazhaipoo kootu | Banana flower kootu, the one which my mom makes during our childhood days but i never used to eat banana flower in any form. But when i started cooking after marriage, i used to crave for this kootu. Our taste always change right. Vazhaipoo is very good for uterus and amma always insist me to take vazhipoo frequently. The combo of kootu and fry is always a super hit at home.

Aam ki poori recipe, Mango puri

Aam ki poori recipe| Mango puri recipe with step by step pictures, poori made using mango pulp and other spices which gives a nice mixture of taste and flavour. Mango is in season and apart from having the mangoes as such, i am trying out some interesting recipes using Mango. Today i actually wanted to post Mango jelly recipe but somehow i didn't like the taste of the jelly which i made. Though the texture was perfect, it didn't taste well. So i switched on to another recipe which i had in my list. Yes mango poori | aam ki poori, i wanted to try out in this mango season. Finally tried it using the fresh ripe Organic mangoes from Wild seed, Singapore. Coffee ice cream recipe, Home made ice cream

Coffee ice cream recipe, easy home made, no egg, 3 ingredient ice cream recipe using whipped cream, instant coffee powder and condensed milk. Ice creams are always preferred at home. We love to try different varieties in the Ice cream parlours. Here many of the top brand ice creams contains egg in it, so i always prefer to make Ice cream at home. We can make creamy ice cream at home without ice cream maker. I have already posted mango ice cream, strawberry ice cream recipes. Both are always a super hit at home.
After trying the Coffee mousse recipe last week, i want to try out the No churn, no egg, Coffee ice cream using Levista Instant Coffee powder. Levista is quite aromatic and the ice cream turned out pretty flavourful and creamy too. The addition of roasted walnuts gave a good crunchy taste to the Coffee ice cream. If you don't like walnuts, you can add semi sweet chocolate chips too.
This ice cream was a huge hit at my home and my daughter's friends who visited us for dinner, enjoyed it very much. So this summer indulge in this delicious coffee ice cream.

Nungu sarbath recipe

Nungu sarbath recipe, a perfect summer thirst quencher recipe made using nungu and nanari sarbath. The addition of the sabja seeds enhances the taste. Growing up in Madurai, we have tasted this nungu sarbath many times. More than trying it outside, we used to make it at home. My mama used to get nanarai sarbath bottle from shop during summer. We used to make the plain sarbath at home and also the nungu sarbath too. The first taste of the nungu sarbath was in Kanyakumari, when i was in 7th standard. Vividly remember visiting the beach in Kanyakumari on a hot summer day and enjoying the nungu sarbath on the way back.

My sister was insisting me to post this Nungu sarbath recipe for a long time. Somehow i don't get nungu in nearby Indian shops. Last weekend i went to Little India and happened to see this in a shop. More than me my sister is so happy that i am posting this nungu sarbath recipe in Jeyashris kitchen.

Nanari syrup is the one we get in most of the South Indian grocery shops, the syrup made using the sarasapilla root. This root is a natural coolant. Sabja seeds, nungu, nanari syrup combo is a perfect summer coolant. Try this out and enjoy the summer drink.

Vatha kuzhambu is one of the most favorite item in our home. I can say the only dish i can make exactly like my mom is Vatha kuzhambu. We generally make Vatha kuzhambu using different veggies but personally i prefer the Vengaya Vatha kuzhambu and Drumstick Vatha kuzhambu. We generally make paruppu usili or some kootu as an accompaniment for vatha kuzhambu. Many people love to have with spicy potato curry too.
Mor kootu is a simple and nice recipe, generally made using keerai thandu and vazhai thandu. This my mom makes it so well but somehow i forgot to make it for so many years. So made this with tender spinach stem.

Mango Overnight Oats recipe

Mango overnight oats recipe, a quick and easy healthy breakfast recipe using mango, yogurt and quick oats as main ingredients. Mangoes are in season now and as the summer is in peak now. Most of the time we don't want to stand long time in the kitchen and do any elaborate cooking. Also we don't feel like eating anything hot in the morning for breakfast. This overnight mango oats is a perfect way to start the day in a healthy manner. I have posted mango chia pudding, yet another no cook breakfast recipe. Coffee mousse recipe | Easy dessert recipes

Coffee mousse recipe | No egg coffee mousse, with full video and step by step pictures, is an easy and delicious dessert made using Cream, chocolate and Instant coffee powder as the main ingredients. Generally they add egg yolks but this is the eggless version of Mousse. I have tried Chocolate mousse but the combo of Instant coffee and chocolate is a super hit. I have already tried this combo in my Biscuit pudding recipe. If you are hosting a party and looking for some easy yet exotic dessert, then you can definitely try this Coffee Mousse recipe.
Generally kids love to have anything with chocolate. While i was making this, i was thinking, how my kids will respond for the addition of the coffee flavour in the chocolate dessert! But they loved it so much and the Coffee mousse was a super hit at my home.

Recently i got the samples from Levista Instant coffee. I wanted to try out some coffee based dessert and cold drink. As the summer is peak, i don't like to make anything hot. But i have tried making coffee using Levista Instant coffee, which turned out quite good. the flavour of the Instant coffee is so aromatic and fresh. Generally being a filter coffee person, i don't prefer instant coffee. But Levista is flavorful and good. Stay tuned for more interesting recipes using Levista Instant coffee.

Jal jeera Soda recipe

Jal jeera soda is a perfect summer drink, made using mint leaves, coriander leaves, Indian spice powders, and plain soda. I have already posted the recipe of jal jeera recipe in Jeyashris kitchen. I have mentioned in the post that, we can use this for pani puri too. We always make the same while making pani puris at home. Sometimes, kids may want it frizzy and add some sprite or 7 Up to this jal jeera. Though i don't regularly accept the practice, but very rarely i allow them to use the soda water in pani puri water.
As the summer is peaking now, i thought i will share this recipe of Jal jeera soda recipe. You can make this for parties too.

Methi Thepla, Aam ka panna, Lunch menu combo 4

This week's lunch menu combo comes with an simple yet interesting combo. We always get fresh methi leaves here in Singapore throughout the year. I pick a bunch of palak and methi leaves from the nearby Indian store and make pulao, dal out of it. Though i make Methi theplas for dinner, i generally prefer don't prefer to include greens in my diet. Whenever i get a chance to make theplas for lunch i will make it.
Aam ka panna, yet another delicious raw mango drink.  We get raw mango in Singapore quite often. Since it is mango season everywhere i thought i will include this drink in this week's lunch menu. I added jaggery instead of sugar in the aam ka panna.
Rajam, chole and other legumes will always be in stock in my freezer. So whenever i want to make anything with legume, i can make it without much planning. Please check my post on how to freeze legumes.
