Bisi bele bath, using millets with step by step pictures. Bisi bele bath is a popular Karnataka dish, made usingMillets and toor dal and other freshly ground Sambar masala. I have already posted my version of Bisi bele bath recipe with video, but i don't claim it as authentic Karnataka recipe. This Millet Bisi bele bath recipe i have already given in my First cook book on Millets, Neengalum Samaikalam Sirudhaniyam. Recently i tried a slightly different version of bisi bele bath, which i learnt from my co sister. I have tried this some time back using rice and shared in Jeyashris kitchen Instagram too. I generally use home made sambar powder and fresh spices for making bisi bele bath, but she always uses only fresh masala. I generally don't add cinnamom or clove in Bisi bele bath as my family don't like it that way. Kids love this version too, but today when i made this recipe by replacing millets with rice, i was not sure as how they will respond. They enjoyed the Millet Bisi bele bath and we had Yam Tawa fry and cut mango pickle to pair with this hot hot bisi bela bath | sambar rice.

Green Chutney with Almonds |Mint almond dip
Green Chutney with almonds| Mint almond dip,Kebab chutney this is a perfect chutney|dip for Chaat, sandwiches, samosas and kebabs. I have tried this green chutney with almonds some time back when i made Dahi kebabs for my cookery class in Singapore. This gives a richness and volume to the chutney. The addition of chaat masala gives a nice flavor to the dip. A friend of mine shared this chutney recipe with me but she added Mayonnaise to this instead of almonds. I didn't want to add mayonnaise so added almonds. Even you can add 1 tablespoon thick yogurt to this green chutney. In that case you can skip the lemon juice. Stay tuned for interesting Paneer recipe coming up using this mint almond dip. Check out my

Nilgiri Kurma recipe| Side dish for chapathi
Nilgiri Kurma recipe, vegetables cooked in mint coriander based gravy a perfect side dish for chapati and poori. I wanted to try a side dish for chapathi with the base we prepare for making vegetable biryani. I have tasted a similar version of korma in a restaurant buffet, and they named it as Nilgiri kurma. So i named it the same. Later when i googled, i came to know that there is a recipe for popular Nilgiri Chicken kurma. This Nilgiri Veg kurma turned out so delicious and it pairs very well with rotis and pooris. The addition of coconut milk in the end gives a nice taste to the kurma. The best crowd pleaser recipe, also goes well with Kuska biryani too. I made this Nilgiri kurma in my new Prestige Pressure pan(4 litres).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heyy guys I hope all of you are having a BREW-tiful day! (Anyone
got the pun?) I’m back with another post after nearly…2years!? Anyways after
lots of convincing Amma has finally let me post something on her blog.
I recently started drinking coffee (filter coffee only, I
hate instant coffee) and I have fallen in love with it. I have also learnt how
to make it on my own so I don’t have to pester Amma every time I want to have
it. So when I make my own coffee I like to experiment with the coffee decoction
and try out random combinations. This recipe was one of my experiments which
turned out really well. I liked it a LATTE and I hope you do to!!
