Samosa chutney recipe, Sweet chutney
Samosa chutney recipe, the sweet chutney| meethi chutney recipe made using jaggery and tamarind pulp pairs well with Samosa, dhoklas and cutlets too. This chutney can be used in other chaats too. I have posted the Sweet chutney using dates, but somehow i like the thin chutneys they serve in the chaat shops when we order samosa. Recently one of our friend got this chutney for a potluck party. She brought this to accompany Dhokla. From that day i was thinking to try this out. I adapted the recipe from her and made some modifications to suit my taste. It turned out so yum and tasted, smelled the same way as we get in street side chaat houses. This can be stored for 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator. For samosa recipe with video click here.

Green chutney with raw mango recipe
Green chutney for chaat and sandwiches, addition of raw mango in green chutney enhances the taste. I have posted few varieties for chaat chutney. A small variation in the ingredient, makes the taste so different and nice. We always add lemon juice to the green chutney to get the tanginess. This green chutney recipe with raw mango i learnt from Chef Venkatesh bhat recipe, which i wanted to try for a long time. As raw mango is in season now, i thought i will try and share it in this season. It turned out so well and i loved it for sandwich. I tried a street style sandwich recipe using the chaat chutneys and it was a super hit at home. I will share the recipe soon in jeyashris kitchen.

Nungu Rose milk, Palm fruit rose milk
Nungu rose milk | Palm fruit rose milk recipe with video and step wise pictures , summer coolant recipe made using nungu and rose milk syrup. Rose milk is one of my most favorite drink from the childhood. My mom used to make rose milk for me almost all the days during summer. Most of the days morning after getting up we used to take rose milk only. I got introduced to Rooh afza after moving to Singapore. Though i like it, i still love the rose syrup more.
Also i have seen roohafza with watermelon drink popularly called as Mohabat ka sarbath. Here in the local shops they sell the Malay special rose milk called Bandung. But i always love the South Indian Rose milk.
I saw this rose milk syrup from Sri Murugan stores, Singapore and wanted to try it out.
I actually planned to make rose milk ice cream. But i have got fresh nungu from the Indian shop, so i am so tempted to make this Nungu rose milk. It was so refreshing and perfect for this hot summer. Myself and my daughter enjoyed it so much. Also check out the Nungu sarbath recipe too.
Friends in Singapore, we get this rose milk syrup in Sri murugan stores Singapore. They have a wide range of Indian grocery and you can place the orders through their Android and iOs app too. Orders are delivered at your door steps island wide.

Kuska Biryani, pattani kurma, Lunch menu combo 7
Kuska Biryani is a popular one in Tamilnadu especially in the village side. Basically Kuska biryani is made using Seerga samba rice and this biryani doesn't have any veggies in this. Usually it is paired with a kurma. I have first tasted this Kuska biryani in my childhood through our neighbor aunty, who introduced so many yummy delicacies to me.
The addition of coconut milk and whole spices makes it so rich and tasty. This week's lunch menu comes with a yummy combo of Kuska biryani and pattani kurma. Also we have Kurunai vadai, which i learnt from the same aunty. And to top all, i made elaneer payasam for dessert. My daughter was asking me to make Elaneer payasam for a long time. Finally made this yesterday for the weekend lunch menu.

You can replace pattani kurma with potato kurma or baby corn kurma.

Mango rasayana recipe, Mango recipes
Mango rasayana recipe, an easy no cook mango recipe, made using ripe mango, coconut milk and jaggery. The recipe is originally an Udipi style one, made using banana and mangoes. I have heard about this lot but never tasted or tried at home. This mango seekarane is similar to Aamras. Coconut milk and mango makes a nice combo, which i have tasted in Thai sticky mango rice. Two days back, when i was invited by my friend to her house for lunch, her mom made a delicious spread. The Udippi style food was too good and finally we had this mango rasayana for dessert. Being an avid mango lover, i shamelessly, over loaded myself with 2 servings of this delicious dessert. I wanted to make this at home for my family. Tried this today and everyone loved it. We had Aloo parathas for dinner and had this mango rasayana as a dessert. Check out my full collection of Mango recipes.
I used super sweet Alphonso mangoes from Wildseed Singapore for making this Mango rasayana recipe.

Karuveppilai thogayal recipe
Karuveppilai Thogayal recipe with step by step pictures, an easy to make South Indian thogayal recipe using curry leaves pairs well with rice and tiffin varieties. We South Indians make varieties of thogayal at home. More than pickles we all love thogayal as an accompaniment for curd rice. I have posted karuveppilai thokku recipe in jeyashris kitchen. Few weeks back when we friends met for potluck, one of them brought this karuveppilai thogayal. Though the method is same we make, the addition of onion and garlic enhanced the taste even more. I wanted to try this version at home from that day, finally made this today. It tasted yum and we enjoyed with plain rice and cabbage thoran.
