Mor kulambhu is a traditional south Indian yogurt based gravy . It tastes heaven with hot rice and parrupu usli. Mor kuzhambhu is a creamy yogurt gravy , which is loved by all our family members. It tastes good with Yam fry and Seppankizhanghu fry. 

ENTRY TO COOKING FOR GUESTS EVENT

First i thank raji of raks kitchen who is a good friend of mine and a great inspiration for me to start a blog, for hosting this event considering my request. I hope the round up useful to all of us .
Here comes my entry:

The menu includes TOMATO SOUP, PANEER BUTTER MASALA,YELLOW DAL,VEGETABLE BIRYANI, CURD RICE,CHAPATIS AND ONION RAITHA.
I cooked this menu for my relatives , whom i met after a long time in a restaurent here.I invited them for dinner and made this. Since i bought MTR instant badam kheer to serve for dessert i didnt include it in the menu.
They all enjoyed and especially the children enjoyed it a lot. We all had a nice time with them.

VEGETABLE BIRYANI |NO ONION |NO GARLIC

Here comes my recipe , vegetable biryani. Everyone has a own style of making Biryani.
I made this biryani when my uncle’s family visited here . Since my mami and periamma(mom’s sister) didn’t like garlic i tried this without adding garlic. And you know the outcome was too good and now a days i am doing this biryani without adding garlic. Check out my collection of Biryani pulao recipes.

CHILLI PARROTA RECIPE | KIDS FRIENDLY RECIPE

We all like the chilli parrota served in SARAVANA BHAVAN . One day when my kids asked me to make this for tiffin, i told them that i will learn and make for them next weekend and temporarily closed their mouth with noodles. While searching for the chilli parrota recipe in blogs, i came across it in here. Try out this easy kid's friendly recipe and  even we adults will love this chilli parotta for sure.

I decided to try that and made a few alterations to suit my kids taste.
It came out so well and kids finished it in no time.

PULIKAICHAL RECIPE | PULIYODARAI MIX RECIPE

I make this pulikaichal,very often as my daughter is a great fan of this. And it also helps me a lot when i get up late in the morning some times, and blinking of what to make for lunch. Pulikaichal is the home made spice mix for making puliyodarai at home. We make this kannu pongal, aadi perukku too.  You may also like curry leaves rice, kothamalli sadam. YELLOW DAL| DAL FRY RECIPE

Yellow dal is a staple dish in Indian homes . It is simple and comforting dish which goes well with rice and roti too.  I used moong dal in this recipe, you can replace it with toor dal too.

 Soups are generally loved by everyone at home. Tomato soup is a simple one and my kids will have this without any complaints. Especially during rainy time or cold weather, nothing beats the combo of a hot soup with toasted garlic bread. Here is my version of cream of tomato soup recipe.  The bread croutons i used for serving is store bought, but you can make the bread croutons at home.
