COOKING FOR GUESTS #10 - PANEER PULAO CAULIFLOWER FRY AND MORE
This 10th week of Cooking for guests recipes comes with a simple and yet a super hit menu. I have made this menu for a group of 5 people who visited us few weeks back. It was a totally a fantastic time and we didn't plan for the meet before. It was just a casual talk in the morning and we all met at our place in the evening. So i don't have much veggies at home and don't have much time to go the shop and buy things too. I planned a meal accordingly and checked my freezer for paneer and peas. Thankfully it was there. I had a huge cauliflower also in my fridge. And i always keep potatoes at home. So i decided to make potato cutlets, peas masala, paneer puloa , cauliflower pepper fry and rotis. I had some store bought chips and ice cream too.
I couldn't click the pictures on that day, but made it on last friday and sharing the same menu today.

COOKING FOR GUESTS RECIPES #9 - ADAI AVIYAL AND MORE
This week cooking for guests comes with an interesting South Indian Brunch menu. Generally at our houses we used to eat direct lunch everyday around 11 am, without having breakfast. This is what we call as Brunch. Now a days , when people get up late on a weekend morning , they eat lunch directly around 11 am without making breakfast. A very few times i have experience of calling guests for Brunch as i find it bit hectic for me to make an elaborate meal and clean the house too by 11 am. I got few requests to post a south indian brunch menu . So in this menu i had made, adai, aviyal, puliyodarai, pineapple kesari and curd rice.

Mango ginger pickle or Maanga inji pickle is a simple pickle which we make when mango inji is available in the market. This pickle doesn't involve any cooking and we don't use oil while making this pickle. During my trip to Chennai in December, when i was walking through the streets of Station road in West Mambalam , i bought some fresh vegetables . Along with that i bought this manga inji also, and made pickle after going home and clicked it also. Everyone at home loved this simple pickle. A perfect combo with curd rice.
